Lycoming-Clinton System of Care Welcomes New Training Specialist, Tara Longenberger

The Lycoming-Clinton System of Care is excited to welcome Tara Longenberger as our new Training Specialist. With more than 28 years of experience in human services, Tara brings a wealth of knowledge in Child Welfare and Mental Health. Her dedication to supporting at-risk youth and families, along with her commitment to education, collaboration, and advocacy, makes her a valuable addition to our team.

A Strong Background in Child Welfare and Mental Health

Tara’s journey in human services began early, driven by her deep passion for helping others. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the former Lock Haven University and later obtained a State Certification in Child and Family-Based Therapy through OMHSAS. Over the years, she has worked in various roles within Child Welfare and Children’s Mental Health services, providing training, guidance, and support to families and professionals alike.

Throughout her career, Tara has worked with a diverse audience, offering expertise on critical topics in youth mental health, trauma-informed care, and family support. Her ability to connect with individuals and build strong community relationships has been instrumental in improving access to mental health resources. As she steps into her new role, Tara is eager to continue fostering collaborative efforts that empower youth, families, and community partners.
